This started out over a morning cup of tea and a rather cynical pounding of the iPad, But you can hear the effects of the caffeine as this simple melody on the piano emerged. Over the next few days I crafted the rest around it to create this piece.
I think the piece has a nice narrative to it, changing from a dissonant beginning that gains momentum, then into a more serene, suspended moment before finding a hymn like song.
